Workplace Health Safety and Welfare Conference 19 February 201005 January 2010Safe Workplaces, Healthy Community - Building Community Sector Health and Safety Project Initiatives brought to you by the LHMU and ASU.
A joint ASU/LHMU conference A Community of Interest Approach to Health and Safety in the Workplace will be held on 19 February 2010. The agenda will cover a range of occupational health, safety and welfare issues in the community sector. The conference is major event contributing to two projects funded through SafeWork SA's Health and Safety Workplace Partnership Programme. The ASU is undertaking the Safe Workplaces, Healthy Community - Building Community Sector Health and Safety project with a major focus on improving arrangements to enhance occupational health, safety and welfare in community sector workplaces, particularly by building more effective participatory structures. A Liquor Hospitality Miscellaneous Workers Union project focuses on the community services and manufacturing industry sectors to increase engagement at the worksite level with occupational health, safety and welfare. The conference also supports the workforce development objectives of the Strong Community Healthy State campaign. You are invited to register by Friday 22 January to secure a place.
