ASU + AWU Reps and Activists Local Government Conference 2006

On 1 March 2006 your Union will be holding the ASU + AWU Reps and Activisits Local Government conference at AAMI Stadium - Please complete the attached registration form today and send it back to secure a place.

Australian workers and their families will face many challenges in 2006; your Union will be working with you to ensure that we organize to maintain and improve wages and conditions and your rights at work. Whilst the new Federal industrial relations legislation Work Choices will create many hurdles for us, by working together across Local Government we will soar over these hurdles.

To do this it will be more important than ever that we approach issues in our workplace and across Local Government as an Active Strong and United industry Union. The Conference will give us a perfect opportunity to discuss and plan our approach; your participation in these discussions is very important.

1 March will assist you to have the confidence, drive and knowledge to go back to your workplaces and lead the way forward.
